Everything you may want to know:
I’m a musician: I play and teach fiddle, piano and guitar; I can also play mandolin & ukulele fairly well, and I’m learning to sing.
I’m doing some songwriting and dreaming about having a band.
I’m also a writer of diverse interests, and am the Junior Literary Editor of the Rumpus.
My home is San Francisco.
I work at a lovely bookstore.
I sometimes spend entire afternoons, even entire days, walking alone in the city.
I’m translating a book from French into English, a novel by Dominique Fabre, whose career is described here.
French is the only language I really know, after English. But my Spanish isn’t too shabby, and I am studying German, a little.
